Pricing plans

Pricing that follows learner numbers

You pay per learner, so cost tracks the size of your programs rather than how many staff need access. Tell us how you run today and we'll put a number to it.

Above 1,200 learners, or for enterprise clients

Institutions at this size are not really buying a subscription; they are changing how the whole organization runs, with larger data migration, more specific integrations, and compliance reporting that usually has to match an existing process rather than replace it, so we start those conversations with a consultation to scope what a pilot looks like.

Do the math

Estimate your monthly cost from your active learner count. No calls, no guesswork, very transparent.

How many active learners do you have in a typical month?

KES 85,000 / year (2 months free for annual commitments)

What counts as an active learner

An active learner is a student who completes a learning action in a given month. Opening a lesson, submitting an assignment, sitting an assessment, or attending a class all count. Logging in does not.

Enrolled but dormant students do not count. Neither do alumni, applicants, or anyone on your books who is not currently studying. Instructors, administrators, and support staff are free and unlimited on every plan.

Your count is measured monthly. When a cohort finishes and your numbers drop, your bill drops with them.

What is metered

Your subscription covers the platform. A few things carry real infrastructure cost, so they come with a pooled allowance that scales with your subscription. The allowances are set deliberately high. For almost every institution, normal use sits well inside them and there is nothing more to pay.

ItemWhat it covers
AI tokensThe AI teaching assistant, assignment reviews, content summaries, and content generation
Video streamingDelivery of course video to your learners
Video storageHosting your video library, with encoding and transcription included
General storageCourse materials, submissions, documents, and certificates
Payment reconciliationM-Pesa and bank collection, matched automatically against learner accounts, at 1 percent of collected volume

Allowances are pooled across your organization rather than assigned per learner, so a course that leans heavily on video does not starve one that does not use it at all. At the moment, we are encoding what fair yet generous quotas are before we even start charging or setting over-quota unit pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What counts as an active learner, and do we pay for instructors and administrators?

An active learner is a student who completes a learning action in a month — opening a lesson, submitting work, sitting an assessment, or attending a class. A login on its own does not count. Staff accounts are free and unlimited on both plans.

How do the bands work, and what happens if we cross one or our numbers drop?

Like tax bands. Each learner is charged at the rate of the band they fall into, not at one flat rate for everyone — a school with 300 learners pays nothing on the first 10, then 500 each on the next 40, 450 each on the next 150, and 400 each on the last 100. If you cross into a new band mid-term, only the additional learners are charged at the new rate. If your numbers drop between intakes, your bill drops with them.

Is there a setup fee?

No.

Can we pay annually or per term?

Yes to both. Paying annually gets you two months free, and most institutions we work with pay per term.

Do you invoice in KES or USD?

Both — we invoice in KES or USD depending on your organization's requirements or jurisdiction, with eTIMS-compliant invoices where applicable.

Can we start on Standard and move to Pro later?

Yes, at any point, prorated.

What happens if we go over a metered allowance?

We talk to you before anything changes. Allowances are set high enough that most institutions never reach them, and we do not restrict access or cut off service.

Not sure which band you fall into?
